So the goal of this video is not to say that if you are Autism that you have issues with Gender Identity nor does it say that if you struggle with your Gender Identity that you are Autistic. But there is a rate of “comorbidity” between the two. Knowing that there is a possible connection serves purposes that are shared during the video. One goal though is to assist those going through it and helping them resolve Gender Identity in order to improve how they relate to themselves and others.
Another possible outcome is the concept that one form of Gender Identity and its struggle arises from an inhibition with mentalizing. I don’t know that this has an impact on the general population. The goal here is not to change the inclination to be transgender, rather to provide tools for those suffering either condition to improve their quality of life.
